Prayers and Dollars for Haiti
The news out of Haiti is terrible. They have been hit by a horrible earthquake and many are feared dead. In times of crisis like this there are two ways to help short of getting on a plane and going there. First, you can pray. Pray for miracles and that those who are trapped will be found, and that those who need medical attention will receive it.
What we cannot contribute with our presence, we can with our resources. Samaritan’s Purse is collecting funds for the relief effort. So is the Red Cross. Hugh Hewitt also had someone closely associated with Mercy & Sharing on his show today. The caller was from nearby in Manitou Springs but they minister to kids in Haiti and could use support to help clean up and provide relief.
Prove me right, America. You are the most generous country on the face of this planet. Prove it in Haiti.

I agree that the situation in Haiti is horendously bad.
But I politely challenge RevNev’s proposition that America “needs to prove” that it is the most generous nation on the planet. Why? Because America already has proved it. Whether it be tsunami relief, mudslide relief, earthquake relief, or just general giving of food to the world’s poor… America ALWAYS leads the pack. It is because that is what we do. So, contrary to the whine of Leftists who continually besmirch the American Way and ridicule their fellow countrymen as being arrogant and want to apologize to a lesser world for our greatness… the proof is in the pudding. America IS the most benevolent nation on the planet.

Yeah, I hear you Ben. I did not intend to say America had to prove her generosity. Rather, she has another chance to do so in Haiti and I am confident she will.
The left is wicked. And just as they take any opportunity to tear America down, I will take every opportunity to point out the truth.
