More great articles on politics:
- Steven Crower (whose site is linked on the left) looks at the pattern of suppressing dissent by the BO administration, “without sounding all crazy and conspiracy theorist-like.” He thinks the Fairness Doctrine is poised to make a come back. Time will tell.
- One of my favorite pundits is Bill Kristol. His latest column explains why he thinks the next GOP nominee for POTUS will be from outside Washington D.C., and likely not an elected representative. I think he’s right and have been saying so. The kind of (non) leadership we see from the establishment crowd of the GOP is truly abysmal. Moderation as a strategy has proven to be a losing one in the last two elections. It’s time for new conservative blood in D.C.
- David Brooks comments on hubris in the human being. Excellent observation and comments about the irrational trust in government by those currently in power. The end is weird. I mean that in its fullness. It seems unnatural. Maybe Brooks was trying to be funny?
- Rev Nev mentioned one of the great atheists earlier, may as well mention the other. Hugh Hewitt had a very interesting exchange with Richard Dawkins last week. The transcript and links to other blogs can be found here. Dawkins was flabbergasted that a man on Hewitt’s intellect believes in miracles.
- Finally, another worthwhile article from the Weekly Standard. This one is about the need for tort reform. No health care bill can be taken seriously if it fails to address runaway legal costs for doctors. No way around it.
