Don’t Do It!
FoxNews has an article confirming my worst 2010 fear . The Republican leadership thinks using Nancy Pelosi as “a major part of their 2010 electoral strategy” is a good idea and “will be linking Democratic candidates to her.” I hate to be Debbie Downer but we tried the same strategy in 2006. Republicans asked the electorate to vote for them because you can’t trust Nancy Pelosi and the far left agenda. The electorate responded by putting her in power.
The real key to the 2010 election is clear leadership that reflects the will of the people. Everyone knows what Pelosi is about. We all know how radical she is. What no one knows is how conservative Republican leaders are. If put back in power will Republicans govern with conservative ideals? Will they reduce the deficit? Will they keep taxes low and reduce spending? Will they effectively mitigate BO’s far left agenda?
Leadership is set apart by what you do and believe not by who your opponent is. The political landscape looks promising for Republicans but they are remiss if they think negative feelings toward bad Democrat leadership is enough to win. The real key to 2010 is creating a plan that the voters want to see implemented.
